Tutors Needed


Area schools and literacy programs seek volunteers to help children and adults to improve reading skills and to assist in related projects.

Among them are:

Chatsworth School, 222 New Ave., Reisterstown, volunteers to serve as reading teachers to individual children starting in the fall. Volunteers will be needed from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. school days. Contact: Lenore Chapman, 410- 887-1103.

Hampden Family Center, 1104 W. 36th St., volunteers to tutor students of all ages in reading and other subjects. Hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Contact: Jenny Ehrhardt, 410- 467-8710.
