Youth Fishing Festival

The Baltimore City Department of Recreation and Parks' Rowing and Water Resource Center will sponsor a Youth Fishing Festival on Saturday for children ages 5-16. The U.S. Coast Guard will offer boat rides, a rowing exhibition will be presented by the Baltimore Rowing Club, and animal exhibits will be provided by the Carrie Murray Outdoor Education Center. Fishing will take place along the banks of the Patapsco River, and bait and fishing poles will be provided. Free lunch will be served to all participants. Other activities include craft-making and games.

The Youth Fishing Festival takes place 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday at Middle Branch Park, 3301 Waterview Ave. $5; registration required. Call 410-396-3838.

Ring-jousting tournament

See Maryland's state sport Saturday at the Steppingstone Museum in Havre de Grace. The Amateur Jousting Club of Maryland Inc. will sponsor a ring-jousting tournament and other activities, including craft-making and tours of the museum. A Robin Hood skit will be performed, and prizes will be awarded to children 12 and under who dress as their favorite Robin Hood character. Food will also be available.

The tournament will run noon-5 p.m. Saturday at the Steppingstone Museum, 461 Quaker Bottom Road, Havre de Grace. $3; children 12 and under free. Call 410-939-2299 or 888-419-1762.
