Our House Youth Home names Schoolnick, D'Alonzo to board

Our House Youth Home, an Ellicott City nonprofit residential program for at-risk youths, has named Columbia residents Brett Schoolnick and Joseph D'Alonzo to its board of directors.

Schoolnick is owner of Baywood Design/Build Group, a Columbia-based remodeling and renovation company. The Town Center resident is also on the board of directors of the Howard County-based Candlelight Concerts.

D'Alonzo, of Long Reach, is an organizational development specialist for Amerix Corp.

Our House students participate in a 40-hour-a-week training program in construction and renovation.

Columbia lawyer re-elected to bar's board of governors

James K. Eagan III, a partner at the Columbia law firm Guida & Eagan, P.A., has been elected to a second two-year term on the Board of Governors for the Maryland State Bar Association.

Eagan has previously served as president of the Howard County Bar Association.

Amerix taps Hahr to head call center operations

Jodi Hahr has been promoted to director of call center operations at Amerix Corp., a Columbia-based service provider to the credit counseling industry.

Hahr's responsibilities include leading three creditor service teams and two client service teams. She began her career at Amerix in 1996 as an originator, then became a client services coach.
