Theft/arrest: A man stole headache medicine at a CVS pharmacy in the 2000 block of Harford Ave. Sunday and was about to flee when he was stopped by the assistant manager. The man threw the medicine to the floor, struck the employee in the face and fled. He was arrested by Sherman Crowder, a Housing Authority of Baltimore City police officer who was off duty and working as a store security officer. Zachary Thompson, 40, of the 1700 block of Meridene Drive was charged with theft and assault.
Robbery: A deliveryman for Sicily's Pizza in the 300 block of S. Broadway was delivering food in the 1300 block of N. Linwood Ave. about 9: 45 p.m. Sunday when two men, one with a handgun, robbed him of $90 and a cellular phone valued at $150.
Robbery try: A man, 44, was at Preston and Gilmor streets about 2 p.m. yesterday when another man struck him several times with a baseball bat and tried to rob him. The assailant fled without any money, and the victim was treated at University of Maryland Medical Center.
Theft: A cellular phone and cash, all valued at $650, were stolen Sunday from a 1998 GMC van parked in the 100 block of E. Redwood St.
Arson: Someone set fire to a 1996 Freightliner tractor parked Sunday in the 100 block of S. Oldham St. and caused $5,000 damage.
Robbery: A man who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed the High's dairy store in the 2800 block of O'Donnell St. of an undisclosed amount of money about 2 p.m. Sunday.
Robbery: A gunman robbed a man, 27, of a cellular phone valued at $300 in the 200 block of S. Broadway about 12: 15 a.m. Sunday.
Burglary: A wooden fireplace mantel valued at $200 was stolen from a house in the 2700 block of Riggs Ave. over the weekend.
Burglary: Stereo equipment, jewelry and clothing were stolen Sunday from a house in the 5000 block of Norwood Ave.
Theft: Two men stole cartons of cigarettes -- valued at nearly $300 -- Sunday night from the Mobil station in the 3300 block of W. Cold Spring Lane.
Robbery: A man armed with an unknown weapon robbed another man, 40, of $60 about 1: 30 a.m. Sunday in the 3900 block of Dolfield Ave.
Robbery: Police continue to seek two men, one armed with a rifle or shotgun, who robbed Dunkin Donuts in the 8000 block of Reisterstown Road early Friday. The men also took money from at least two employees, bound all the workers with duct tape and fled.
Arrest: A man was arrested Sunday after police said he forced his way into two apartments in the 1600 block of Rickenbacker Road at the Villages of Tall Trees, searching for his girlfriend. In one incident, police said, he struck an occupant when ordered to leave. Robert Green, 27, a resident of the apartments, was charged with burglary, assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
Burglary: More than $100 was stolen Sunday from a bedroom dresser in a house in the 9600 block of 10th Ave.
