A Bowie man was being held without bail in the fatal shooting of a 14-year-old boy, Prince George's County police said.
Police, responding to reports of a disturbance Saturday night, found the body of the boy in a home in the 2200 block of Hallow Lane in Bowie about 11: 30 p.m., said Cpl. Tammy Sparkman of the Prince George's police.
Mark Wayne Farmer, 27, who lives in the house where the shooting occurred, was found at the residence by police. He was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, Sparkman said. He was being held without bond at the county detention facility in Upper Marlboro.
Police did not release the victim's name. The teen-ager was shot once in the upper body, Sparkman said. Police had not determined a motive or the type of gun used.
