Drug arrest: A groom at Pimlico Race Course was arrested Friday and charged with possession of suspected marijuana with intent to distribute after track security officers detected an odor of marijuana smoke near the man's room and notified police. Officer Duane Henry of the district's drug enforcement section said nearly a pound of suspected marijuana and more than $800 was found in the man's room. Benjamin Keesler, 21, who gave the race course as his address, was processed at Central Booking and Intake Center.
Carjacking: A gunman robbed a male motorist of more than $100 about 9 p.m. Sunday in the 3200 block of W. Belvedere Ave., forced him out of his 1996 Dodge Neon with unknown temporary tags and drove off.
Robbery: A gunman robbed a man, 33, of jewelry valued at $2,000 about 11: 20 p.m. Saturday in the 3500 block of Powhatan Ave.
Burglary: Cash and property, all valued at nearly $3,000, were stolen Saturday from Morris Ginsberg & Sons, a roofing company in the 200 block of S. Eden St.
Burglary: A U.S. Military Academy ring engraved with the name Zachary Zaridinsky, three watches and a gold ring, all valued at nearly $1,600, were stolen Sunday from a house in the 200 block of S. Augusta Ave.
Shooting: A man, 37, was riding a bicycle in the 2700 block of E. Hoffman St. about 11 p.m. Sunday when an occupant of a passing car shot him in the lower back. The victim was in stable condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Theft from vehicle: Power tools valued at more than $1,000 were stolen Sunday from a 1989 Chevrolet Astro van parked in the 2700 block of Loch Raven Blvd.
Theft from vehicle: A radar detector, compact discs and a portfolio, all valued at $800, were stolen Sunday from a 1996 Mercedes-Benz car parked in the 2900 block of St. Paul St.
Burglary: A 5,000-watt generator and several sets of door knobs, all valued at nearly $1,600, were stolen between Saturday and yesterday from a house being renovated in the 3600 block of Fourth St. in Brooklyn.
Burglary/vandalism: Charges were pending against a former female tenant of a townhouse in the first block of Saturn Court, who entered the dwelling Friday evening, plugged a second-floor bathroom sink and turned on the faucets. Water ran for a long period of time before residents next door noticed water seeping into their dwelling. Ceilings and floors of the two townhouses suffered serious water damage.

Burglaries: After an investigation, police said property in excess of $3,000 -- including a 1995 Kawasaki all-terrain vehicle -- was stolen Sunday from several sheds in the 5100 block of New Gerst Lane.
Burglary: Police were seeking three boys who broke into a house in the 400 block of Elmwood Ave. Sunday morning, then were chased away by the occupant, who was awakened by a barking dog. One of the intruders left his bicycle behind.
