Freshman Ryan Metzbower (Severna Park) scored with 7: 02 left in the first quarter to pull No. 15 Delaware (0-2) within 4-1, but Loyola (1-0) outscored the Hens 4-0 in the second quarter for a 9-1 halftime lead.
Salisbury State 30, York 3: Joe High scored six goals as the host Sea Gulls (3-0, 3-0) dominated the Spartans (0-1, 0-1) in Capital Athletic Conference action.
Salisbury State's Chris Turner had three goals and four assists in the first half.
Swarthmore 10, Goucher 9, 3 OT: Patrick Friel scored a man-up goal with 14 seconds left in the third overtime period to lift the visiting Garnet Tide (1-0).
Mark Kelly and Qadir Stern led Goucher with three goals each.
St. Mary's 10, Lynchburg 6: Jim England scored three times and the Seahawks' defense held the Hornets scoreless for 30 minutes in both teams' opener.
Lynchburg took an early 2-0 lead on goals by Brandon McDowell (Severn) and Josh Paris, but St. Mary's rattled off five unanswered goals for a 5-2 lead.
No. 5 Georgetown 14, Colgate 7: Senior attack Andy Flick scored four goals and added two assists as the sixth-ranked Hoyas (1-0) downed the visiting Red Raiders (0-1).
No. 6 Duke 16, Ohio State 7: Senior attack T.J. Duncan had eight points on five goals and three assists to power the fifth-ranked Blue Devils (1-0) past the visiting Buckeyes (0-1).
