Return of 'Riverdance'
The jig has returned. "Riverdance -- the Show" will once again bring Irish music, song and dance to the Lyric Opera House, 140 W. Mount Royal Ave. The show runs Tuesday through Feb. 27. Black Heritage Art Expo 2000

As part of the Celebrity Series, cellist Natalia Gutman will join maestro Yuri Temirkanov (pictured) and the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra in performing Shostako-vich's Cello Concerto No. 1 and Beethoven's Symphony No. 3, "Eroica," at 8 p.m. today, tomorrow and Saturday at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, 1212 Cathedral St. The series is Temirkanov's last concert appearance until June. Also at the Meyerhoff: The Ballet d'Afrique Noire blends music and dance in the "Mandinka Epic," 7:30 p.m. Monday. The epic traces the history of the West African Mandinka tribe.
