Garden products distributor to lease warehouse space
Expanding its storage facilities in the area, an East Coast lawn and garden products distributor has signed a lease for 81,000 square feet of warehouse space at Gateway Marley Neck, a business park off Beltway Exit 1 in northern Anne Arundel County.
The tenant, Commerce Corp. LLC, runs a 350,000-square-foot warehouse at the Brandon Woods Business Park, about two miles away.
The lease signing with Gateway's owner, Northwestern Mutual Life, was announced by KLNB Inc., a commercial real estate brokerage firm that represented Commerce Corp. The new facilities -- taking up a little more than half of the space in the smaller of two buildings at Gateway -- will be used for storage of planters and other lawn supplies for distribution in the region, said Jim Caronna, a principal with KLNB.
