Sims responded by scoring 13 of Coppin's 20 points over the next eight minutes as the Eagles went ahead to stay, 68-62.

UMES 94, Howard 81: Kevin Wallace had a game-high 30 points to lead the Fighting Hawks (7-13, 4-7) to their second straight MEAC win.
Yale 58, Navy 50: Another Navy comeback fizzled in the final five minutes and the Bulldogs handed the Midshipmen their 12th defeat in a row in a nonleague game at Alumni Hall.
Navy (2-16) came from a 12-point deficit to move within 41-40 with 6: 18 to play before Yale went on a 13-2 run.
