Bank robbery: A man wearing a black knit cap over a dreadlock wig, dark frame glasses and dark clothing robbed Allfirst Bank in the 300 block of St. Paul St. of an undisclosed sum of money about 2: 30 p.m. yesterday after giving a teller a holdup note. No weapon was displayed. The wig and glasses were recovered in an alley near the bank.
Theft: A cellular phone, computer accessories, compact disc player, a saxophone and its carrying case -- all valued at nearly $4,000 -- were stolen Sunday from a 1989 Ford van parked in the first block of Park Ave.
Shooting: A man, 34, was walking in the 2700 block of Spelman Road about 12: 15 a.m. yesterday when an unknown assailant shot him in both arms and the lower back. He ran a block east to the 2700 block of Round Road, where police found him on the ground. He was in serious condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Robbery: A male motorist was stopped in the 2600 block of Ridgely St. about 9: 30 p.m. Saturday when three men, one with a handgun, entered his 1993 Nissan and robbed him of more than $350.
Burglary: A laptop computer and a watch -- all valued at more than $2,000 -- were stolen during the weekend from a house in the 100 block of E. West St.
Theft: Charges were pending against a 41-year-old Baltimore man who tried to leave the Kmart store at North Plaza Mall in the 8900 block of Waltham Woods Road on Sunday without paying for a radio and a compact disc player, all valued at more than $250. The man was released after providing identification and police said the store might seek a warrant for his arrest on theft charges.
Kidnapping: A man, 21, allegedly forced his 20-year-old ex-girlfriend into his car outside a motel in the 1700 block of Whitehead Road about 4 p.m. Sunday while threatening to assault her and drove her around the area. The woman tried to escape by breaking a window. About two hours later, the man dropped her off at her mother's home and drove away. Police said a warrant has been issued charging Delando Johnson of the 900 block of Arlington Ave. in Baltimore with kidnapping and assault.
