Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Western District

Shooting: A man, 26, was in the 700 block of Allegany Place near Cumberland Street about 1: 10 p.m. Monday when a gunman demanded his money. The victim turned to flee and the gunman shot him in the left hand and lower back. The victim was in critical condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Northeastern District

Shooting: A boy, 15, from the 1700 block of Carswell St. was in an alley in the 2800 block of Harford Road about 9: 30 p.m. Monday when a gunman fired several shots at him, wounding him in a shoulder. The youth was in stable condition yesterday at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Central District

Robbery: A gunman robbed Edison-Park East, a parking facility in the 100 block of E. Pleasant St., of several hundred dollars Monday.

Eastern District

Robbery: T wo men, one with a gun, robbed a man, 51, of his briefcase and keys about 10 p.m. Monday in the 1800 block of Aisquith St.

Baltimore County

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Two videocassette recorders, four televisions and a camcorder, all valued at more than $2,000, were stolen from Lutherville Elementary School in the 1700 block of York Road during the weekend.

Woodlawn Precinct

Rape: A girl, 16, who ran away from a Woodlawn-area group home Friday, told police a man took her to an apartment at an unknown location in Dundalk and raped her. The girl reported the incident Monday after returning to the group home and was treated at Northwest Hospital Center.

Theft from vehicle: A purse containing $300 was stolen from a 2000 Dodge Caravan parked Monday in the 6600 block of Baltimore National Pike.

Theft: A refrigerator and stove, all valued at $800, were stolen Monday from a vacant house in the 5900 block of Baltimore St.

Theft/arrest: A man, 40, was arrested Monday when he tried to leave Home Depot in the 6000 block of Baltimore National Pike without paying for a thermostat valued at $89.
