Shooting: A man was in his house in the 700 block of McCabe Ave. about 8: 40 p.m. Monday when a bullet fired from outside struck him in the arm. It was not known if the victim, who was treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital and released, was the target. No arrest had been made.
Shooting: A man, 24, was walking in the 500 block of Kirby Lane about 8 p.m. Monday when someone fired several shots, hitting him twice in the back. He was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Shooting: The occupants of a car shot a man in the right arm and left leg at 5: 30 p.m. Sunday in the 1500 block of W. Franklin St. The victim, 30, was in good condition yesterday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Burglaries: Assault: A boy, 13, was in the 2400 block of Annor Court about 5 p.m. Monday when another teen-age male shot him with a BB gun. The victim declined medical treatment, and the other youth was being sought.
Theft: Someone entered an office Monday at Irvington Knolls Care Center in the first block of S. Athol Ave. and stole an employee's purse containing a cellular phone, pager, electronic organizer, checkbook and cash, all valued at nearly $250.
Robbery/arrest: A man was arrested Sunday night shortly after he robbed a man, 31, of $8 in the 4500 block of Frederick Ave. The victim was walking on the street about 7 p.m. when another man asked him for a cigarette. Before the victim could respond, the other man grabbed the money from his hand and fled. State Trooper Twanyetta Gruber of the Golden Ring Barracks, though off-duty, was driving her marked police car nearby and saw the robber being chased by several other men. Gruber called city police on her radio and gave them the robber's description and direction of travel. Minutes later, police arrested the man and recovered the money.
Burglary: A heavy-duty battery used to power a generator, valued at more than $100, was stolen between Aug. 10 and Oct. 6 from an enclosed area outside Frederick Elementary School in the 2500 block of Frederick Ave. The theft was reported Sunday.
Burglary: A heavy-duty vacuum cleaner, boots and a cellular phone charger, all valued at nearly $1,500, were stolen during the weekend from a house in the 700 block of Allendale St. The ex-boyfriend of the occupant was being sought.
Theft: A man was being sought after he entered the second-floor bedroom of his ex-girlfriend's house in the 1300 block of N. Poplar Grove St. on Saturday and stole $700. The theft was reported Sunday.
Theft: A 20-inch bicycle valued at $80 was stolen Sunday from the front porch of a house in the 9100 block of Summer Park Drive.
Burglary: Someone entered a house in the 9600 block of York Road through the front door Sunday and ransacked the dwelling. Police said it was not immediately known if any property was stolen.
