The opponent for Vincent Pettway's comeback fight at Martin's West tomorrow night has changed -- again.
Pettway, the former 154-pound IBF champion, had been scheduled to fight Tyrone Jackson during tomorrow's fight card. Instead, he will face Anthony Ivory, 34, of Chicago.
Jackson was the fifth opponent to pull out of the fight against Pettway, who is attempting a comeback after having surgery earlier this year to repair a detached retina. Ivory, who is scheduled to arrive in town today, has a 37-39 record.
"The biggest fight has been trying to get the fighter," said Arnie Dansicker, the promoter for the fight card. "Hopefully, it will all work out.
Pettway will take a 42-6-1 record into the 10-round welterweight fight. In May the eye injury forced Pettway out of a fight with Felix Trinidad, the second time the Baltimore native had to pull out of a fight against the IBF welterweight champion.
Pettway was the IBF No. 1 welterweight contender as recently as May. He is now ranked 11th by the organization.
