Homeless shelter

Imagine enjoying a lazy Sunday afternoon, and being able to help a good cause by doing so.

That's why 125 folks spent a Lazy Sunday Afternoon at Cross Street Market, at a benefit for the South Baltimore Homeless Shelter. They hung out at Nick's Inner Harbor Seafood -- digging the music of local band Love Riot while digging into steamed crabs, raw oysters, corn-on-the-cob and watermelon.

Kicking back in the casual crowd: Tim Williams, the homeless shelter's executive director; Meg Fielding and Frieda Ulman, shelter board members; Randon Fritsch, Warren Hancock, Miro Zelof, Pauline Harris and Karen Baker, event committee members; Joseph Chege, Becton Dickinson computer operator; and Miles Anderson, Motta & Associates copywriter.
