Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.
Shooting: A man, 32, was in the 1800 block of E. Belvedere Ave. about noon yesterday when an unknown assailant approached and shot him in both legs. The victim was treated at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.
Robbery: A woman, 72, was in the 100 block of N. Liberty St. about 4 p.m. Wednesday when a man and his female accomplice robbed her of $45 and a bag of clothing.
Robbery/arrest: In a second robbery in the 100 block of N. Liberty, a woman's purse was taken about 8 p.m. Officer Steven C. Baublitz spotted a man fitting the robber's description, chased and tackled him, and recovered the property. A 36-year-old man was charged with robbery.
Burglary/arrests: Police arrested three teen-age boys Wednesday and charged them with a break-in Monday at the Police Athletic League Center in the 1200 block of Pennsylvania Ave. Trophies were stolen and vending machines vandalized.
Stolen car: A green 1994 Mazda pickup truck with tags 06E 288 was stolen Wednesday in the 1100 block of S. Hanover St.
Theft: A compact disc stereo system, stereo equalizer, 600-watt amplifier and speakers, all valued at $1,500, were stolen from a car parked in the 3700 block of Pascal Ave. Wednesday.
Shooting: A man, 30, was in the 1700 block of Eager St. about 12: 40 p.m. yesterday when an unknown assailant shot him. Police found the victim lying in front of a house in the 900 block of McDonogh St. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment.
Burglary: Someone entered a shed next to the Roy Rogers in the 4600 block of Falls Road Wednesday and stole a power-washing machine, vacuum cleaner, cartons of paper towels, cleaning liquids, light bulbs and two ladders, all valued at more than $1,000.
Robbery: A gunman entered the basement of a house in the 4700 block of Greenspring Ave. about 4 p.m. Wednesday and robbed a plumber repairing a water heater of his wallet, $50 and several keys.
Burglary: A 19-inch TV, VCR, cellular phone and case of beer were stolen from a house in the 2900 block of St. Paul St. Wednesday.
Robbery/arrests: Early Wednesday morning, police stopped a 1988 Mercury Topaz in the 8300 block of Pulaski Highway and arrested four adult males and a male juvenile, all from Northeast Baltimore, who were wanted for robbing a man of his watch, cellular phone and $350 Tuesday night in the 2300 block of E. Joppa Road. Charged with robbery were Damian Mitchell, 22, and Nathan Cole, 18, both of the 6000 block of Amberwood Road, and John Woodward, 21, of the 4900 block of Aberdeen Ave.
Robbery: A gunman entered McDonald's in the 7500 block of Belair Road about 11 p.m. Wednesday and forced the manager to remove an undisclosed sum from several cash registers.
