Stine, Wright appointed at International College

Baltimore International College appointed Allison Stine executive director of college hotels and Noel Wright as a human resources specialist.

Stine, who attended the University of Delaware and Essex Community College, is responsible for the operations of the hospitality school's several working hotels, including the Mount Vernon Hotel and Hopkins Inn in Baltimore and The Park Hotel in County Cavan, Ireland. The Baltimore resident formerly was marketing director at the Hunt Valley Inn. Wright, a Columbia resident, had been a supervisor for Pro Staff.

A University of Maryland graduate, Wright oversees administration, coordination and maintenance of the school's benefit plan, payroll and personnel administration.

D. L. Gamber to oversee fund raising at zoo

The Baltimore Zoo hired Deanna L. Gamber as director of development to oversee fund raising and sponsorships. A graduate of Simmons College, she was the director of major gifts for the Gilman School in Roland Park. The Baltimore resident is an active member of the Garrison Forest School Alumnae.

Roger Friedman named Media Group editor

Phillips Business Information Inc. appointed Roger Friedman as assistant managing editor of its Media Group, which publishes the New Media Report and other business-to-business newsletters. Friedman, who has a master's degree in journalism from American University, has been with the Potomac publisher since 1997 and has won several in-house and industry editorial awards.

Hoffman directs Web site for Goucher College

Goucher College named Kevin Hoffman as Web master for the Towson liberal arts college. He serves as facilitator and new development director for the school's newly inaugurated Web site. Hoffman is a graduate of Duquesne University. He had been community information services specialist at the Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore.

McQuillan is manager at Neuristics Corp.

Neuristics Corp., a Hunt Valley developer of predictive models for the financial services industry, hired Timothy J. McQuillan as an account relationship manager. He is assisting in development of prospects and clients, sales collateral, training documentation, trade show and product management. A graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia, he formerly was a sales executive with the John H. Harlan Co.


Leichtman joins Heneson as account executive

Bonnie Heneson Communications named Patricia Leichtman a senior account executive at the Owings Mills agency. She will be responsible for client public and media relations, marketing, special events, newsletter and collateral writing. Formerly with Washington-based Griffin & Co. as director of media relations, the Long Island University graduate lives in Columbia.

Eisner names Knowles print production manager

Eisner Communications named Brian Knowles print production manager. The Towson University graduate formerly was with Bethesda-based Discovery Communications and Doner Direct before joining the Baltimore advertising and communications agency.

Durr, Schmale promoted at Nevins & Associates

Nevins & Associates promoted Kirstie Durr and Mitchell Schmale to account supervisors for the Baltimore marketing and public relations firm.

Durr is responsible for media relations, strategic and event planning for various agency clients. A Randallstown resident, she formerly was with Gray Kirk/VanSant.

Schmale oversees strategic marketing and public relations plans for agency assigned clients. He formerly was a news producer for WMAR-TV.

Banking and finance

Shanis promotes Johnson, Cole, Klapaska, Frankle

Rose Shanis Financial Services appointed Josh Johnson president, Irby C. Cole III treasurer and Bonnie Klapaska and Scott D. Frankle vice presidents.

Johnson is responsible for strategic development and day-to-day operations of the 13- office unit of Mason-Dixon Bancshares Inc. The Towson University graduate lives in Bel Air. Cole, a certified public accountant, formerly was with N. H. Yates & Co. and is a graduate of the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. A Westminster resident, he is a member of the Maryland Association of Certified Public Accountants and other professional organizations.

Klapaska supervises branch operations and development. The Arnold resident attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and is active with the Mill Creek Civic Association and Save the Bay. Frankle oversees branch expansion and new business development. A former manager with Fleet Finance, the University of Maryland, College Park graduate lives in Owings Mills.

Svetlana Khodarkovsky joins Jewish Convalescent Home

The Jewish Convalescent & Nursing Home hired Svetlana Khodarkovsky for its activities staff.

The Randallstown resident, who attended the Azerbaijan State Institute of Medicine and the Azerbaijan Research Institute of Microbiology, is responsible for assisting its Russian-speaking residents and coordinating the facility's Russian program.
