'Art in the Park'

For an afternoon of colorful and multicultural "Art in the Park," join the Jewish Community Center and the Gordon Center for Performing Arts on Sunday at the Rosenbloom Owings Mills JCC. The celebration offers entertainment indoors and out, including the Soon Hee Ahn Dance Company, Experimental Movement Concepts, Silver Eagle Cloggers, Kinderman and more. You can also learn to swing dance and juggle, see the amazing "Living Statue," chat with "Groucho Marx," and meet teen artists whose works are currently on display in the Rebecca and Joseph Meyerhoff Gallery in the Gordon Center. Children will enjoy yo-yo demonstrations and contests, arts and crafts and face painting. There's also plenty of food.

The festival site is at 3506 Gwynnbrook Ave. Admission is free. Call 410-356-5200, Ext. 334.

Keep on truckin'

Climb aboard a front-end loader, dump truck or roadside tractor and learn how the machinery functions this weekend when the Maryland Department of Transportation presents an informative and interactive exhibit at Cranberry Mall. You'll also get a chance to view a Freeway Instant Traffic Management vehicle and chat with the operators. The display includes service-related videos. And for children, there will be personal appearances by Vince and Larry, the Crash Test Dummies, Buckle Bear and the SHA Litterbug, along with free giveaways, including coloring books and lollipops.

The exhibit runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Cranberry Mall is on Route 140 in Westminster. Admission is free. Call 410-876-8870 or 410-857-0300.
