Deputies seek people who fled party

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Six or more people eluded Carroll County sheriff's deputies who broke up a field party involving about 20 mostly juvenile suspects near Frizzellburg early Wednesday, authorities said.

After receiving a complaint about the party on a farm in the 1800 block of Old Taneytown Road at 1: 30 a.m., deputies arrived and arrested three boys on charges of possessing suspected marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and being minors in possession of alcohol. The boys were not named because of their age.

Eight others -- four girls, two boys and two men -- were identified as suspected participants in the alcohol-involved party, and at least six others fled before being identified.

The investigation is continuing to determine whether charges will be filed against the eight suspected participants.

Anyone with information is urged to call the sheriff's nonemergency toll-free tip line at 1-888-399-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous, or request that a law enforcement officer return the call. Or a caller can dial the sheriff's office directly at 410-386-2900.
