Chocolatier has the scoop on good ice cream

THE BALTIMORE SUN

* Cost: About $3.75

* Preparation time: Serve from package

* Review: As a longtime aficionado of Godiva chocolates, I wondered if the company's new premium ice cream flavors were worth their relatively steep price. I can happily report that they are (although I wouldn't buy this ice cream regularly or waste it on nonadult palates). We served the White Chocolate Raspberry and Belgian Dark Chocolate to friends after dinner. The chocolate was as rich as expected, given Godiva's reputation. But the raspberry was the big surprise. The berries themselves tasted amazingly fresh. And the consistency was as if the cream had been churned that afternoon.
