Glendening backs aid for conference center

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Gov. Parris N. Glendening said yesterday that he wants to use $6 million in state funds to help develop the Tudor Hall resort and conference center project in Leonardtown, St. Mary's County.

The state money would help with a proposed $50 million development that would include a luxury hotel, a conference center, a golf course and housing.

Glendening said the project would serve the expanding economic needs of St. Mary's County and Patuxent River Naval Air Station. The state funding is subject to approval from the legislature.
