Central District

Dog stolen: A pedigree American Staffordshire terrier, valued at more than $1,000, was stolen Wednesday from a house in the 200 block of W. Lanvale St. The dog's owner knows the thief.

Theft from vehicle: Tools and an electrical surge protector, all valued at nearly $1,000, were stolen Wednesday from a 1994 Chevrolet minivan parked in the 500 block of St. Paul St.

Eastern District

Rape: Police were seeking a man and his female accomplice in the July 15 rape of a girl, 15, in a house in the 500 block of N. Rose St. The rape was reported July 23.

Southwestern District

Theft: At least two people entered the front yard of a house in the 800 block of Mount Holly St. between noon and 6 p.m. Wednesday and stole a white concrete bird bath valued at $200 and weighing more than 200 pounds.

Northern District

Burglary: Three televisions and three videocassette recorders, all valued at more than $1,000, were stolen Wednesday from a house in the 5200 block of Midwood Ave. The thief entered through the front door.

Baltimore County

Essex Precinct

Assault: Two men were arguing at South Taylor and Eastern avenues about 9 p.m. Wednesday when one struck the other in the face with a large metal belt buckle. The injured man, 40, was treated at Franklin Square Hospital Center and released. The assailant, 35, was arrested and charged with assault. The nature of the argument was not known.

Parkville Precinct

Burglary: Stereo equipment valued at $350 was stolen Monday from a house in the 2900 block of Putty Hill Ave. The thief entered through a door.
