THE BALTIMORE SUN

A man was killed and two people were injured yesterday in a two-car collision in White Marsh, Baltimore County police said.

Rudi Tahedl, 79, who lived in the 800 block of Branford Court in Timonium, was stopped at a traffic sign on westbound Ebenezer Road about 12: 38 p.m. when he entered the northbound lane of Philadelphia Road. He was struck on the driver's side by an oncoming vehicle, police said.

Tahedl died a short time later at Franklin Square Hospital Center, police said. Tahedl's passenger, Lena Zapz, 68, of Essex, and the driver of the second vehicle, Ernest Preston, 46, of Joppa were in fair condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, a nursing supervisor said.
