4 men arrested on drug charges in two incidents in Westminster
Westminster police arrested four men on drug charges in unrelated incidents early yesterday.
The first arrest occurred about 2: 10 a.m. at an apartment in the 200 block of E. Main St. A woman told police that a man called her about drugs.
The woman made arrangements to buy $50 worth of cocaine.
According to charging documents, a man came over and they argued about the prices of the bags he brought as officers watched and listened.
The man eventually saw an officer and spit some objects out a window, police said.
After finding two plastic bags containing suspected crack cocaine on the sidewalk outside that window, police arrested Brendon L. Marshall III, 42, of the first block of E. Main St.
He was charged on counts of distributing narcotics, possession of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
He was being held at the Carroll County Detention Center in lieu of $50,000 bail.
At 4: 20 a.m., police raided an apartment in the first block of E. Main St. and arrested three men after seeing suspected cocaine on a coffeetable in the living room.
Vincent M. Barber, 21, of the raided apartment, was charged with possession of cocaine and drug paraphernalia.
Corey A. Barber, 20, of the 2800 block of Baltimore Blvd. in Finksburg and Anthony G. Hill, 35, of the first block of Trout Brook Circle in Reisterstown were also arrested.
Each was held with bail set at $5,000 after being charged with possession of cocaine.
Police
Westminster: A resident of Liberty Street told police Thursday that a cellular phone was stolen from his vehicle while it was parked at 140 Village Shopping Center. The loss was estimated at $400.
Westminster: A resident of East Green Street told police Friday that his 1986 Dodge Caravan was stolen from his home. The loss was estimated at $8,000.
Westminster: A resident of Westmoreland Street told police Wednesday that a sprayer was stolen from his vehicle. The loss was estimated at $300.
Fires
Westminster: Firefighters from Westminster, Pleasant Valley, Reese and Manchester responded at 9: 17 p.m. Sunday to a plane crash at the Westminster airport. No injuries were reported. Units were out 1 1/2 hours.
Reese: Firefighters responded at 5: 30 p.m. Sunday to a sign on fire in the 3300 block of Baltimore Blvd. Units were out two hours, 40 minutes.
