What: USGA Girls Junior championship

When: Monday through Saturday

Where: Green Spring Valley Hunt Club, Owings Mills

Field: Out of 666 entries, 156 golfers qualified for the 51st championship, which is open to female amateur golfers who have not reached their 18th birthday on or before Aug. 7 and who have a USGA Handicap Index not exceeding 18.4.

Schedule: Practice rounds today and tomorrow. Championship begins Monday with two days of stroke play. The lowest 64 scorers then advance to match play starting Wednesday. The 18-hole, match-play final starts at 9 a.m. Saturday.

Admission: Free

Directions: From the Baltimore Beltway, exit at Reisterstown Road, heading west. Go approximately 1 1/2 miles to the light at Greenspring Valley Road and make a right. The club entrance is about 200 yards on the right.
