Ellicott City-Elkridge

Ellicott City: Two men entered a business in the 9400 block of U.S. 40 yesterday and demanded cash from the store clerk. The robbers masked their faces, and one carried a baseball bat.

Ellicott City: Two men approached a woman outside a business in the 3300 block of North Ridge Road on July 21. While one asked her for directions, the other stole her purse from her car.

East Columbia

Owen Brown: Two men in a car followed a woman walking in the 6900 block of Sunfleck Row yesterday. A short time later, a man carrying a baseball bat approached the woman and demanded her purse. She believes the robber was one of the men following her in the car.

Owen Brown: A burglar broke into a hotel room in the 8800 block of Stanford Blvd. on Sunday and Monday and stole jewelry worth more than $10,000.

North Laurel-Savage

North Laurel: Three men broke into a house in the 9100 block of Moonshine Hollow on Thursday, assaulted the homeowner and threatened to use a gun, which they did not display. The intruders took a microwave oven, computer equipment and compact discs.
