The obituary of Dr. Edwin L. Pierpont in Wednesday's editions of The Sun incorrectly identified one of his children as Ross Pierpont; it should have been Brien Pierpont. It also indicated that his wife was still living. Dr. Pierpont's wife, Ann, is deceased.
