Kids' Stuff

Today and Tuesday, let your imagination take you away in the Kids' Stuff programs offered downtown at the NationsBank Plaza. Today, storyteller Bunjo Butler presents variations and improvisations on African-American stories, songs and proverbs while pounding out hypnotic rhythms on his drum. Tuesday, Goombay takes visitors on an educational, musical tour of the Caribbean islands, with tropical tunes and geographical and cultural lessons.

Bunjo Butler performs today and Goombay performs Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m. at NationsBank Plaza, 34 Market Place. Free. Call 410-837-4636.

A colorful day

Delve into a world of hues, tints and shades and color your world Saturday at a hands-on family workshop at the Baltimore Museum of Art. Participants can pick out a favorite color on the color wheel and create wearable art. You can paint, create a collage and draw a variety of scenes and pictures while learning about the subtleties of coloration. Or you can browse through the museum's permanent collection and see how Monet and other famous painters used analogous colors in their own works of art.

The workshop is 2 p.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at the BMA, 10 Art Museum Drive. Free with museum admission of $6, ages 19 and up; $4 seniors and full-time students with ID; free for ages 18 and under. Call 410-396-6320.
