Edgewood is home to Harford County's first PAL center

THE BALTIMORE SUN

State police and Harford County officials have opened the county's first PAL center in Edgewood.

The Harford County Recreation/Maryland State Police Activities League center will be housed temporarily in the Edgewater Village Shopping Center on U.S. 40.

Officials said Thursday that it is the first state police-sponsored PAL facility in the nation. Such centers are usually operated by local police agencies.

The center will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday during the summer and from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. during the school year.
