Ezra Pound

(1885-1972)

Pound will be remembered as anti-Semitic and pro-Mussolini. On Roman radio Pound broadcast pro-fascist propaganda and was arrested for treason. He was then sent to a mental hospital in Washington.

After he won the Bollingen Prize for writing "Pisan Cantos," he was released and spent the remainder of his life in Italy.

Two of Pound's most remembered writings are his poems "Homage to Sextus Propertius" and "Mauberly".
