The Mount Airy office of O'Conor, Piper & Flynn ERA has named Steve Meszaros office sales manager.

He has been active in Maryland real estate since 1970 and has been a licensed salesman since 1981. Last year, he had sales of more than $5 million.

Meszaros is secretary of the Carroll County Association of Realtors and vice president of the county's Million Dollar Associates. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of Baltimore and master's from George Washington University.

Fire

Winfield: Firefighters from Winfield, Mount Airy, New Windsor and Libertytown in Frederick County responded at 2: 21 a.m. yesterday to a mobile home fire on Roop Road near Clear Hill Lane. The vacant dwelling was destroyed. State fire marshals determined that the fire began inside the home and estimated damage at $50,000. Units were out 2 1/2 hours.
