Fire destroys medical offices, burns forest

THE BALTIMORE SUN

ANNAPOLIS -- A three-alarm fire destroyed a medical office building and burned nearly 4 acres of woods west of Annapolis early yesterday, Anne Arundel County fire officials said.

Firefighters were called to the building, in the 300 block of Forelands Road, near the Whiskey Bottom neighborhood, at 5: 42 a.m., said county fire Lt. Tim Mikules. The blaze spread to surrounding woods, burning trees and causing a small underground fire, he said.

No one was injured, and the fire was under control by 10 a.m., Mikules said. The cause is under investigation.
