The Partnership Forum, a coalition of agencies, individuals and groups working to combat alcohol, tobacco and drug abuse in Howard County, will meet from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Howard County Health Department's Riverwood Center, 7101 Riverwood Drive, Columbia.

Lynne Nemeth, project director of Howard County -- A United Vision, will report on the long-range planning project for Howard County.

YMCA names Murray district executive director

Lyndon Eric Murray, a YMCA executive, has been named district executive director of the YMCA of Central Maryland Howard County Family Branch.

He has been executive director of the Northwest Family YMCA in Nashville, Tenn., and the Alexandria, Va., branch of the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington.

As district executive director, Murray will be the CEO for the Howard Family YMCA and will oversee operations at Western Family YMCA in Catonsville and Druid Hill YMCA in Baltimore.
