A two-alarm fire last night damaged or destroyed 11 units at a Perry Hall apartment complex, a Baltimore County fire official said.

The fire at 8814 Blairwood Road in the Perry Hall Apartments quickly raced through the second and third floors of the building, forcing the occupants of the 11 units to flee, the fire official said.

The fire was reported at 8: 39 p.m. and a second alarm was pulled at 8: 47 p.m., the official said. The fire was declared under control at 9: 21 p.m.

The official said a firefighter who suffered a shoulder injury was treated at Franklin Square Hospital Center and released.

The cause of the fire is being investigated.
