Sykesville: A resident of Oakland Mills Road told state police Sunday that someone fired a shot, damaging the driver's door of his Nissan pickup truck while it was parked outside his home. Damage was estimated at $500.

Sykesville: Units from Sykesville, Gamber and Winfield responded at 10: 44 a.m. Sunday to a house fire in the 6400 block of Church St. Units were out 14 minutes.
