A Baltimore man wanted in last week's robbery of the East Main Street branch of Carroll County Bank & Trust Co. was arrested yesterday after surrendering to authorities, police said.

Anthony M. Palmisano, 31, of the 3100 block of Whistler Ave. in Morrell Park was charged with robbery and with theft under $300 and was ordered held at the Carroll County Detention Center for a bail review hearing today. He surrendered to Westminster detectives in Baltimore County, authorities said.

Westminster police, who were assisted in the investigation by the FBI, said no one was injured and no weapon was displayed during the robbery at 10: 11 a.m. May 5. Police said a man demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount.

Within about three hours after viewing videotapes from the bank's surveillance cameras, detectives obtained an arrest warrant and issued a lookout for Palmisano, police said.
