Tigers: Rookie Jeff Weaver (3-3) had the shortest and worst of his six major-league starts, giving up four runs and seven hits in four-plus innings. His ERA rose from 2.48 to 3.27. The loss was the second straight for Detroit, ending a 10-game run of alternating wins and losses.
