Area schools and literacy programs seek volunteers to help children and adults improve reading skills and to assist in related projects.

Among them is:

Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, for after-school and summer tutoring of elementary and middle school pupils at its Westside Drop-In Center in the basement of the Enoch Pratt Free Library branch at 31 S.
