Three people died in traffic accidents in Cockeysville and Dundalk yesterday, one of them a hit-and-run, police said.

About 2: 50 p.m., a husband and wife died in a crash on Cranbrook Road in Baltimore County when a car driven by an 18-year-old woman drifted into their lane and collided with the couple's car.

Killed were John Francis Corrigan, 78, and Cornelia Marie Corrigan, 75, of the 10400 block of Cranbrook Hills Place in Cockeysville, police said.

The two were in a Ford Tempo southbound on Cranbrook Road just north of Padonia Road. A Toyota Cressida driven by Sarah Tinsley of Cockeysville was northbound on Cranbrook and crossed the center line for unknown reasons, police said. Tinsley was treated at Greater Baltimore Medical Center and released.

Mrs. Corrigan died on the way to Sinai Hospital. Her husband died later at Maryland Shock Trauma Center, authorities said.

The case is being reviewed by the state's attorney's office to determine whether to file charges, said Cpl. Bruce Aris of the Baltimore County police.

Another fatal accident occurred at 9: 43 p.m. in the 200 block of Wise Ave. in Dundalk when a man crossing the street was struck and killed by a pickup truck, police said.

Police were searching last night for a Dodge Ram pickup with silver trim and a broken front windshield that sped away after the accident.

The name of the victim was not released.
