No. 15 Ohio State 13, VMI 4: Sandy Boyce and Buddy Lange each scored four goals as the host Buckeyes (7-3) defeated the Keydets (5-8). Ohio State broke from a 6-4 lead in the third quarter with seven straight goals.
Washington College 21, Swarthmore 2: Behind four goals each from Bill Grothmann and J. D. Radebaugh, the Shoremen (10-1, 4-1) won a Centennial Conference game.
Villa Julie 21, Richard Stockton 8: Andy Cunningham scored five goals and Matt Russell added four to power the host Mustangs (10-5) over Richard Stockton (5-8). Villa Julie outshot Stockton, 40-20.
Women
UMBC 19, Richmond 16: Eight players scored at least two goals as the visiting Retrievers outlasted the Spiders. Julie Dorney, Debbie Krastel and Loree Miller each had three goals.
Johns Hopkins 10, Villanova 8: The host Blue Jays (9-2) overcame a 5-3 halftime deficit with a 5-1 run in the second half for their second straight win. Erin Wellner and Jamie Larrimore each had two goals for Johns Hopkins.
James Madison 17, Towson 7: Megan Riley had three goals and seven assists as the host Dukes (12-3) handed the Tigers (3-11) their ninth straight loss. James Madison broke from a 1-1 tie with nine consecutive goals.
