THE BALTIMORE SUN

Art lovers and collectors from beginners to advanced get a chance to learn more about works on paper this Sunday, and perhaps acquire an original artwork or two, at the Baltimore Museum of Art's 10th Annual Baltimore Contemporary Print Fair.

The fair features museum-quality prints and photographs, by established and emerging artists, offered for sale by nearly two dozen dealers. The event provides an opportunity for enthusiasts to learn about printmaking techniques, tips for starting a collection and conversations with contemporary artists Carroll Dunham, Alison Saar and Terry Winters. The fair is sponsored by the BMA's Print & Drawing Society, and all proceeds will go toward the purchase of contemporary prints and drawings for the museum's collection. Prices for prints start at about $300.

The print fair is 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Baltimore Museum of Art, 10 Art Museum Drive. Entrance to the fair is included in price of museum admission: $10 nonmembers, $8 students and seniors, $5 members. Preview reception is Saturday, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., for $50.
