Severna Park woman who was reported missing is found, charged with misuse of friend's car

THE BALTIMORE SUN

A Severna Park woman, who was reported missing after she borrowed a friend's car that was later found burned, was taken into custody Wednesday and has been charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, Maryland State Police said.

Jennifer Gail Johnson, 29, was found at a friend's home in Glen Burnie after state police received numerous tips from people who had seen her photograph on televised news reports about the case, said Pete Piringer, a state police spokesman.

Johnson had been missing since April 1.

The car, a red Toyota Celica, was found burned Wednesday on Birch Street in southern Baltimore.

An investigation into the burning of the car is continuing, Piringer said.
