C. Milton Wright split a pair of one-goal games, winning the consolation round over Mount Hebron at the Gerry Case Memorial tournament yesterday at Broadneck.

The unranked Mustangs (4-2) lost a heartbreaking first-round game to the Washington area's St. Albans, 4-3, and then held off a comeback by No. 13-ranked Mount Hebron to win, 6-5.

Mustangs goalkeeper Garrison Souder made 12 saves in each game, including one with 20 seconds left in a man-down situation to Mount Hebron.

Scott Jankowiak scored three goals for C. Milton Wright, including the game-winner with seven seconds left in the third period.

"This is the first game we've won in four years of coming to this tournament," Mustangs coach Andrew Gerard said. "We inverted our midfield on a couple of the goals and our zone defense helped a good bit today. Our goalkeeper played well and close defense."
