A 36-year-old man was shot and killed yesterday as he sat in a rental car at an apartment complex behind Reisterstown Road Plaza. Baltimore police said they know of no motive for the attack.

The victim, whose identity was withheld pending notification of relatives, was shot four or five times in a 1998 Pontiac Grand Am in the 6600 block of Vincent Lane in Northwest Baltimore.

The shooting occurred about noon. The victim was pronounced dead a short time later at Sinai Hospital. Detective Homer Pennington of the homicide unit said he was seeking a possible suspect.
