Man wanted in killing in Florida is arrested

THE BALTIMORE SUN

BEL AIR -- Harford County sheriff's deputies have arrested a man wanted in a Florida homicide.

Responding to a call reporting an unconscious man in a Jeep on March 26 at Rock Spring Shopping Center at U.S. 1 and Route 24, deputies arrested Sean Michael Casey, 21, of no fixed address, after learning he was wanted on a charge of violating probation.

When a Harford sheriff's deputy learned Casey was driving a Jeep belonging to Jack Sterr of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., he notified police there. When Fort Lauderdale police went to Sterr's home to ask about the vehicle, they found Sterr stabbed to death. Casey has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held at the Harford County Detention Center awaiting extradition to Florida.
