Two men wearing ski masks robbed a Crownsville lounge at gunpoint Monday night, county police said.
According to a report, the men entered Sonny's Lounge in the 1300 block of Generals Highway about 9: 45 p.m. One of them put a silver revolver to a clerk's head and ordered him to give them money from the cash register.
The clerk complied. The men left the store with an undisclosed amount of money and drove north on Generals Highway in a red Chevrolet Cavalier, police said.
Man robs pizza shop with threatening note
A bandit robbed a Glen Burnie pizza shop of an undisclosed amount of money Monday night, county police said.
The robber walked into Little Caesar's Pizza in the 5600 block of Ritchie Highway about 8 p.m. and handed the manager a note threatening to shoot her if she did not give him money from the register, according to a police report.
The woman gave him money, and he ran from the store and drove north on Ritchie Highway, police said.
The robber is described as white, about 21 years old, 5 feet 4 inches tall, between 140 and 150 pounds with short blond hair and a trim mustache. He was wearing a blue Nike baseball cap, a tan-and-brown striped short-sleeved fleece shirt and light blue jeans.
Severn man charged in theft of vehicle
County police arrested an 18-year-old Severn man who they say was driving a stolen car Monday evening along Stillmeadows Drive.
Officers who were patrolling the area said they saw a 1992 Honda Accord speeding on Stillmeadows Drive about 6 p.m. The car almost struck a police cruiser as it passed, and the driver ran a stop sign, police said.
The car ran over a curb and struck a tree. The driver got out of the car and ran from officers, police said. The officers caught him a short distance away.
Keith Irving Eldridge of the 8400 block of Pioneer Drive was charged with auto theft, unauthorized use of a vehicle, felony theft and resisting arrest.
