Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.

Baltimore City

Northwestern District

Burglary: Coins of unknown value were stolen Monday from Sparky One-Hour Cleaners in the 4700 block of Liberty Heights Ave.

Burglary: Jewelry, a clock-radio, a TV, camera and three carrying bags, all valued at $2,000, were stolen Monday from a house in the 3500 block of Pinkney Road.

Northern District

Theft: A warrant was to be issued for the arrest of a former teller at NationsBank in the 2500 block of N. Charles St., who allegedly stole $8,000 from depositors since October. The teller allegedly took money from customers but failed to record the deposits. Some of the bogus transactions were recorded on camera. Police were notified of the bank's investigation March 20.

Arson: A firefighter was slightly injured late Monday night battling the second of two deliberately set fires in a vacant house in the 3000 block of Loch Raven Blvd. Police said the first fire was reported about 9: 30 p.m. and the second about midnight. There was no estimate of damage.

Central District

Rape try: A girl, 14, was in the 1300 block of Madison Ave. about 9: 30 p.m. Monday when a man forced her behind an apartment building and tried to rape her. During the attack, the girl struck the man in the groin, causing him to fall backward. She fled. A search of the area failed to locate the man.

Robbery: A man, 18, was in the 100 block of N. Howard St. about 7 p.m. Monday when two men, one who implied he was armed, robbed him of gold jewelry and cash, all valued at nearly $60.

Robbery: After dropping her children off at school about 9 a.m. Monday, a woman, 32, was in the 500 block of Gold St. when a man shoved her against a wall and robbed her of a portable radio, cash and a pack of cigarettes, all valued at $75.

Theft from vehicle: A laptop computer valued at $5,000 was stolen Monday from a 1999 Ford van parked in the 300 block of Park Ave.

Southern District

Stabbing/arrest: A man, 26, and a woman, 29, were arguing in the 100 block of S. Carey St. about 11: 30 a.m. Monday when the woman stabbed him in the left side. She was arrested, and he was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Theft from vehicle: A cellular phone and 24 cassette tapes were stolen Monday from a Jeep Grand Cherokee parked in the 200 block of Emory St.

Theft: A briefcase valued at $250 and containing business papers was stolen Monday from a 1996 Nissan parked in the 1100 block of S. Hanover St.

Baltimore County

White Marsh Precinct

Robbery: A female employee of Philadelphia Style Pizza was making a delivery in the 8800 block of Fontana Lane about 9: 50 p.m. Monday when five men robbed her of five pizzas and $7. One of the men struck the woman and another fired two gunshots, one hitting the victim's car and another car. The victim refused medical treatment for a minor injury.

Stolen car: A champagne-colored 1996 Toyota Camry with tags DHC 488 was stolen Monday in the 5600 block of Utrecht Road.

Cockeysville Precinct

Burglary: Two computers, computer accessories and a cassette recorder, all valued at more than $4,000, were stolen from Rossmann Hurt Hoffman, an insurance firm in the 1400 block of York Road, over the weekend.

Robbery: Officer Dan Rose reported a deliveryman for Original Giorgio's, a restaurant and carryout in the first block of Scott Adam Road, was returning to his car in the 300 block of Lord Byron Lane about 10 p.m. Monday when a man with a knife robbed him of more than $100 and three pieces of jewelry valued at more than $1,000.
