As sirens blare, music fans chant at anti-NATO concert
BELGRADE, Yugoslavia -- About 15,000 defiant Serbs attended an anti-NATO outdoor concert despite air-raid sirens that signaled continuing missile attacks. The fans chanted and sang along with local rock groups.
The square where the concert took place -- Trg Republike -- was the scene of months of anti-Milosevic protests in 1997. Several people said they attended those protests but now had to show a unified Serbian front against NATO.
