Outlook: In a strange quirk of the schedule, Montreal doesn't play here until the end of the NPSL season, then it visits twice in a week. And the teams, together with Harrisburg, are in a struggle for two remaining spots in the American Conference playoffs. The Impact (17-19) split a pair last weekend, losing by a point to Buffalo and thumping Florida, and is a creditable road team (7-10). The Blast (17-19) has lost three in a row and is 1-1 against the Impact. Paul Kitson, who played for the first edition of the Blast, is Montreal's coach, and he has taken to playing lately.
