Easter egg hunt
Bring your basket and your best searching skills for an Easter egg hunt and open house at the Baltimore Conservatory in Druid Hill Park Sunday. Open to children ages 10 and under, the hunt and open house take place all afternoon and include children's entertainment, a visit with the Easter bunny, face painting, music by the Charm City Band and seasonal plants and Easter lilies for sale.
The egg hunt begins at 2:30 p.m. for children ages 5 and under and at 3 p.m. for children ages 6 to 10. Prizes and candy will be awarded to participants who find specially numbered eggs.
Children must register between 1:30 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. The Department of Recreation and Parks sponsors the events.
The Easter egg hunt and open house run from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Baltimore Conservatory, Druid Hill Park near Gwynns Falls Parkway and McCulloh Street. Must bring your own basket or bag. Free. Call 410-396-0180.
Family Fun Concert
It'll be a wild time Sunday as the Concert Artists of Baltimore presents its Family Fun Concert, themed "Our Friends the Animals," at the Gordon Center for Performing Arts. The Concert Artists' Orchestra and Chorus will offer interpretations of animal-themed pieces, such as Prokofiev's "Peter and the Wolf" and various Disney tunes, including selections from "The Lion King." The Peabody Children's Chorus and Violin Choir will join in the musical program. The audience will become part of the performances, joining in sing-alongs and playing little instruments. Surprise appearances will cap off the afternoon.
The show begins at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Gordon Center for Performing Arts, 3506 Gwynnbrook Ave., Owings Mills. Free for ages 18 and under; $5-$15 adults. Call 410-625-3525.
